“Christmas, children, is not a date. It is a state of mind.”
― Mary Ellen Chase
Personality: Nutmeg is an energetic little doe, sweet as sugar and full of holiday spirit! She is caring and thoughtful in everything she does. She thrives most when she has a project or a cause to believe in, and she will earnestly put her whole little soul into something if she loves to do it. Nutmeg is a passionate individual, she trusts quickly and loves deeply. The most difficult thing in the world for her is to watch another creature in pain. Even when Nutmeg is angry or hurt, she does not often speak angrily but rather takes a passive-aggressive approach. No one can truly have a heart of gold, however, and Nutmeg's one downfall is that she seldom forgives. Once someone has broken her trust, they may never gain it back. Nutmeg's favorite thing in the world is Christmas, and she maintains a "holiday spirit" all year round!
History: Nutmeg's upbringing is not a grand story nor a long one. She was born in Lappi, Finland [In English: Lapland] to two loving parents, and was raised in the woodlands of the arctic circle. Every year they take a family trip to Rovaniemi and the Santa Claus Village around Christmastime, which is something Nutmeg looks forward to all year. Nutmeg is a child yet and does not have all the responsibilities of a full herd member, so her days are filled with frolics across the tundra with the other young fawns and any other friends she happens to meet - from the willow warblers in the spring to even a polar bear cub on one occasion.
