Wilfred “Chase” Bennet is a 6-year-old corgi; levelheaded, kind and brave and a little bit cagey. Best friend and generally a good influence on Gavin Ranger. His human trains dogs for the fire department, but Chase’s own search-and-rescue days were curtailed by a building collapse that left him blind in one eye. Soon after, he found his way to Gavin and Alice’s humans and became part of the family. He’s an insomniac who wears ugly scarves and eats peanut butter by the jar.
Anthro form: Chase is a diesel mechanic who lives on the almost-deserted 11th floor of a Boston apartment building (one other apartment is occupied by Gavin and his mother). He enjoys Tumblr and lost his eye while working as a volunteer firefighter.

Gavin Ranger is a Laborador full of unquenchable curiosity. He is four years old and demisexual. Best friend and generally a bad influence to Chase Bennet. His foster mother was a cat, meaning he has many feline habits like drinking from the tap and sleeping with all four paws tucked under him. Unbeknownst to their two humans, he regularly slips out a hole in the fence and goes gallivanting around the city, befriending strays and having grand adventures. He is unpredictable and passionate, bounces off the walls and puts his heart into everything he does.
Anthro form: Gavin is a law-school dropout (he could have graduated if he'd applied himself, but he was careless. And he'd have made a lousy lawyer anyway, he could never sit still in a courtroom!) He's a pianist and a recovering alcoholic (he copes by consuming ridiculous quantities of Mountain Dew). He lives with his mother across the hall from Chase.
